OUR STORY
The business was born as a passion project in 2017. After spending 2 years refining our trade and getting a feel for the market, the business was officially registered in 2019.
During those two formative years, the majority of time was spent learning the complexities of pattern making, designing with intent, branding and learning the unique attributes and characteristics of using different materials.
WHAT WE DO
We are a small scale fashion accessory brand and manufacturer operating within the fashion and textile industry.
We produce accessories with the focus on traditional South African fabrics and prints as well as modern, versatile and utilitarian designs.
OUR MISSION
As a brand, we want South Africans to wear House of Joslyn with pride and to support locally produced products.
Our main objective is to offer unique, affordable, quality products and to tell a story of diversity, creativity and vibrance through our collection.
LOCALLY FOCUSED
We make it our mission to purchase fabrics from local manufacturers in South Africa as much as possible.
Our goal is to bring value to the textile industry as well as building our economy by supporting local suppliers and gaining experience from those with a long history in the industry.

FOUNDER & DESIGNER
I am Nicole Abrahams, the founder of House of Joslyn (Pty) Ltd.
What started as an idea is slowly turning into the brand I had envisioned. I am a self taught designer, pattern maker, machinist and entrepreneur. My goal is to showcase the beauty of South Africa through the lense of product design. I grew up in Cape Town in the 90’s at the height of the textile industry. I knew, from a young age, that this would be the path for me to take.
In life there is always room for improvement and I am indeed looking forward to more growth to come.
